Bename ("we," "us," or "our") is operated by Robert Temple ("Developer"). This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the Bename mobile application and this website at bename.rwtemple.com.

Information you provide

Bename is designed to help you remember people you meet. The app stores information you enter, such as:

• Names and notes about people
• Tags and associated places (including location names, addresses, and coordinates)
• App preferences and settings

This information is stored locally on your device. We do not operate a cloud service that stores your contact or location data on our servers.

Location information

With your permission, Bename uses your device's location services to detect when you enter or leave places you have tagged. Location data is used to trigger reminders, notifications, and widgets showing people associated with those places. Location processing occurs on your device to support these features.

You can control location access at any time in your device Settings.

Automatically collected information

We use third-party services that may collect limited technical information to help us understand app usage and improve stability:

• Firebase Analytics — may collect anonymized usage data such as app interactions and device information.
• Firebase Crashlytics — may collect crash logs and diagnostic data to help us fix bugs.

Purchases

If you purchase Bename Premium, payment is processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store your payment card details. Apple may collect information related to your purchase in accordance with its own privacy policy.

Website contact form

If you contact us through this website, any information you provide (such as your name, email address, and message) is used only to respond to your inquiry.

Data sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share the names, notes, or location tags you store in the app with third parties, except as needed to provide the analytics and crash reporting services described above.

Data retention and deletion

Data you enter in the app remains on your device until you delete it within the app or uninstall the app. You may request assistance with privacy-related questions by contacting us.

Children's privacy

Bename is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
